On behalf of the Rhode Island Judicial, Professional, and Technical Employees’ Local Union 808—affiliated with the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA!), AFL-CIO—I am thrilled to welcome you.

As your certified collective bargaining representative, Local 808 is here to be your voice. We actively advocate on your behalf, negotiating with your employer to secure competitive wages, fair work hours, and strong terms and conditions of employment.

• Our International Family (LiUNA!): Founded in 1903 when independent unions united for strength, LiUNA! has grown into one of the largest AFL-CIO unions, representing approximately 600,000 members across the United States and Canada under the leadership of General President Brent Booker.

• Rhode Island Pride: We are especially proud of our homegrown leadership at the International level, including Rhode Island natives Michael F. Sabitoni, International General Secretary-Treasurer, and Donato A. Bianco, Jr., LiUNA! Vice President and New England Regional Manager.

• Our Local Network: Right here in Rhode Island, Local 808 is one of seven local unions affiliated with the Rhode Island Laborers’ District Council, standing strong alongside over 8,000 union brothers and sisters across the state.

Get Involved & Stay Connected Your voice matters, and attending our meetings is one of the best ways to stay informed and engaged. We hold our monthly membership meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:00 PM via Zoom. All members in good standing are warmly encouraged to join us.
